09/10/2009 Commercial property confidence 'growing' |
|
Commercial property law cases may be about to rise as lenders are said to be growing in confidence about the sector.
Banks are increasingly willing to lend to buyers of such assets, noted real estate economist at Capital Economics Kelvin Davidson.
However, he said people should not go "overboard" about the increase, as general lending levels remain low and the terms are less favourable than before the credit crunch.
Mr Davidson suggested that the market has "reached a floor", but that the recovery will not "shoot away" and is "nothing to get too excited about".
Those keen to buy now may wish to speak to a commercial property solicitor.
Figures from CB Richard Ellis earlier this month showed that commercial property returns and growth were both up for the third month in a row in September.
During the month, returns rose two per cent and values by 1.3 per cent.
