10/03/2009 Yorkshire cities 'to fight commercial property downturn' |
|
Yorkshire's cities are planning to battle back against the downturn in the commercial property sector when they showcase themselves at a conference in France.
Representatives from Leeds, Bradford, Hull and Sheffield are attending the MIPIM conference in Cannes, where they will look to attract more investment into the sector, regional commerce portal the Business Desk reports.
It noted that this includes officials from Bradford Centre Regeneration and Leeds City Council, with the neighbouring cities joining forces to emphasises their joint economic force as a city region.
Executive member for regeneration at Bradford council Adrian Naylor commented: "This is Leeds and Bradford working together for the first time, they are a force to be reckoned with a combined economy that is worth £23 billion."
The two cities will be displaying a 'growing together' stand at the event on the French Riviera, which will take place from March 10th to 13th.
