23/06/2009 Legal change sees Spencer divorce details publicised |
|
In another case of family case details being made public, Earl Spencer's divorce from ex-wife Caroline is to go through one more hearing today that will see information on the case released.
The former couple will be battling over the terms of their split, having failed to agree the terms that would have enabled a decree nici to have gone through, the Daily Mail reports.
Issues such as the disposal of their home in north London are among those that may have to be resolved through the court process, which may be the final element in a three-year battle.
Those wishing to avoid such protracted undertakings in a divorce and prevent their details being released into the public domain may wish to see a divorce lawyer.
Earlier this week a case whose details were publicised was that of tycoon Scot Young, who claimed he could pay nothing to his ex-wife in his divorce settlement as he is now penniless.
The high court judge rejected this claim and ordered him to reveal where his £400 million fortune is, threatening him with jail should he not comply.
