A man turned up for a court hearing over the sale of his home after his divorce dressed as a woman, in protest against a perceived gender bias against him.
Paul Cuthbert from Taunton arrived at the town's magistrates court in a dress and wig after a previous hearing saw the female judge order the sale of the home in the presence of two female lawyers and his wife, the Western Morning News reports.
Claiming that this amounted to bias, he told the paper: "Maybe somebody will listen to what I have to say as a woman more than they would as a man."
Those wishing to ensure they get the best advice and help in a divorce hearing can see a solicitor to ensure they have the assistance they need.
Drastic action taken by aggrieved parties after a divorce recently included the case of a woman from Rutland who burned down the home she and her ex-husband owned.
Deborah Jackson received a suspended prison sentence after admitting at Leicester crown court she had torched the house to stop him gaining any money from its sale.
