An Asian police officer has backed claims that a culture of discrimination exists among London's police.
Speaking in support of a fellow officer in a tribunal, Hina Parekh stated that she had suffered bullying, name-calling and attempts to make her go drinking, the Evening Standard reports.
She said colleagues were "completely insensitive to my religious and cultural beliefs and my obligation as a single parent".
Her experience included being put on shifts that made it hard for her to get childcare.
Ms Parekh was giving evidence on behalf of police community support officer Asad Saeed, who was making a claim of discrimination.

Other recent cases include that of two lesbians who won compensation from Bristol-based firm Aquatec Rainsoft after negative comments based on their sexuality were made by other employees.
