A prison officer who claimed her good looks led to her being dismissed from her job has won her unfair dismissal case.
Amitjo Kajla from Wolverhampton won a case of age and sex discrimination against HM Prison Service after the tribunal agreed she was bullied and forced out of her role at Brinsford Young Offenders Institute.
The 22-year old had been accused of being too friendly with male prisoners and of failing to adhere to the dress code.
In a statement, Miss Kajla countered that she had sought to uphold the service's mission statement and treat inmates with "humanity".
"One officer didn't like my way of working, which was counter to the macho approach he favoured," she added.
Those living in the capital and considering an unfair or constructive dismissal case may wish to speak to employment lawyers in London.
In another case, accountant Mihaela Popa is suing PricewaterhouseCoopers after they allegedly gave her bad references in a bid to sabotage her future career, after she lost a tribunal case against them in 2007.
She had claimed for discrimination and harassment over alleged taunts linked to her Romanian nationality.
