|
Representatives of workers at car parts firm Visteon are meeting with company bosses in London over the issue of redundancies.
The firm has laid off nearly 600 of its UK workforce after going into administration last month, including employees at its Enfield plant.
Union Unite is representing the workers in its meetings with management, with protests having taken place against the job cuts.
The issue of redundancy has been a major issue for people across London and elsewhere during the recession.
Some may believe they have been unfairly selected to lose their jobs and if so they may benefit from taking legal advice on the matter.
Visteon announced it was going into administration on March 31st, with company chief executive Donald Stebbings commenting: "Regrettably, having exhausted all options, the Visteon UK Ltd board of directors had no alternative but to file for administration."
