27/08/2009 Paternity issue leads to post-divorce lawsuit |
|
A man whose ex-wife had two children through an affair is suing her over the matter. The ex-husband, who has not been identified by name, is taking the action after the solicitor of his former wife - with whom he split over her infidelity - revealed that two children were not his, the Daily Mail reports. He is taking the action to retrieve money spent on the upbringing of the children, with the writ claiming that his ex-wife and her lover conspired to keep the paternity of the children secret to ensure the husband met the costs of their upbringing. Those who consider they have cause to take further family law action after a divorce has been completed - or who may have paternity-related complications in a divorce case - may wish to speak to family law solicitors. Earlier this week, family law expert Janet Tresman said concerns over maintenance and re-housing children were among the issues causing some to delay divorce proceedings until the economic crisis is over.
