Behind any disinheritance case 'there are intense emotions'
Olivia Gordon of the Telegraph recently reported that high property prices and fragmented families have led to an increase in inheritance disputes.

Ms Gordon cited the case of Jonathan Griffin who attacked his brother's farm after an alleged dispute over inheritance.

Whilst Mr Griffin denied that the attack on the farm had anything to do with his lack of inheritance, Pc Peter Moore, who gave evidence at the case, told Bournemouth Crown Court that a friend of the accused had said "John [sic] was very bitter about the will. He had worked at Skinners Farm for six years and had ended up with nothing."

According to Ms Gordon, the issue with inheritance is that "behind any disinheritance case, there are intense emotions".

Recent research from Friends Provident revealed that three quarters of British citizens do not have a will.

The statistics also showed that 24 per cent of people anticipate that their inheritance may lead to arguments among relatives.ADNFCR-1805-ID-18745509-ADNFCR
