23/04/2009 Ealing bucks property price trend |
|
Ealing has bucked the trend for property prices in the UK more than anywhere else, research has shown.
New figures from property website Rightmove.co.uk have shown that across England and Wales asking prices rose over the last month in every region bar London.
The average figure demanded by sellers in the capital dropped by 3.2 per cent over the past month, with Ealing recording the largest dip at 7.8 per cent.
Investors looking to buy property in Ealing as a means of securing a bargain may wish to take legal advice on the various matters concerning a home purchase.
The most recent Land Registry figures - covering up to February 2009 - showed that the prices for transactions in Ealing had fallen 13.1 per cent over the previous 12 months, less than the London average of 15.6 per cent.
Ealing's monthly price fall in February was 0.2 per cent, compared with the London-wide figure of 1.9 per cent.
Neil Garland, Residential Property Partner at Ealing Solicitors, William Sturges & Co says: "We are delighted to have seen a recent and very significant increase in the level of good quality new residential conveyancing transactions throughout Ealing.
"New enquiries are across the spectrum from first time buyers through to the top end of the market which clearly reflects confidence is being rapidly restored amongst buyers who recognise the market is on the upturn."
