01/05/2009 London house prices up in new survey |
|
House prices in London rose in March, new figures from the Land Registry have shown.
Figures from the body revealed that the capital's housing values were up 0.6 per cent, with London being one of four regions in England and Wales to defy an overall dip of 0.4 per cent.
Prices in Westminster and Ealing were down during the month by 1.4 per cent and 0.9 per cent respectively, but these drops were less than the 2.2 per cent and 1.2 per cent falls they had seen in February.
Brent and Camden both saw price rises of over two per cent.
Those keen on buying or selling property at this time may wish to see a solicitor to deal with the legal issues involved.
Recent figures from Knight Frank suggested the prime central London market may be bouncing back, with a 0.4 per cent price rise in March, the first increase for 12 months.
