The government's new programme to increase the construction of new homes is likely to be a success, it has been suggested.
Head of communications at the Home Builders Federation Steve Turner said the 270 projects that have been targeted all have planning permission and are ready to proceed, meaning construction should recommence fairly quickly.
He stated: "Hopefully we will see builders back at work within weeks."
Such a development could include a number of sites around London and those keen to buy a new home may wish to see a property lawyer about the matter.
The government's plans will involve spending £925 million, which will lead to the construction of 22,000 new houses and 20,000 jobs being created.
Such a move could help reverse a recent trend of declining building orders in the UK.
According to the Office for National Statistics, these fell from £480 million in April to £423 million in May.
