13/01/2010 Residential property prices show new rise |
|
The price of residential property in the UK has continued to increase, according to new figures from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).
Data compiled by the body revealed that there was a 1.7 per cent rise in prices in November from October.
It also showed that the three months up to that point had seen a 3.5 per cent jump in prices, compared with 2.6 per cent in the previous three months.
Such figures may indicate that those looking to speak to a residential property lawyer about investing in real estate could be choosing a good time to do this.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors also revealed figures this week that indicated a rise in prices.
However, the increase in December was not as strong as November's, with the positive balance of members reporting an increase rather than a fall dipping from 35 per cent to 30 per cent.
