30/12/2009 West London 'has biggest money property transactions' |
|
The most expensive property transactions in London remain in the west of the capital, new data has shown. Figures from Halifax revealed that the most expensive street in the whole of Britain is Wycombe Square in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, in which the average house cost is £5,401,447. The authority provided ten of the 20 most expensive streets in the UK, although the second costliest was Ingram Avenue in Hampstead, where the typical house costs £4,872,500. Halifax also revealed that London has the top ten most expensive streets in Britain, with the inner western area providing seven of these. Such figures indicate that those investing in residential property in central and west London may benefit from the skills of a property lawyer well versed in the area and the large costs involved in such transactions. According to the latest survey of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, published earlier this month, London and the south east are currently seeing the fastest house price rises in the UK as buyer enquiries increase faster in these regions than elsewhere.
