15/10/2009 BBC to highlight wills issue |
|
The BBC is planning to screen a TV series that will highlight issues concerning wills and inheritance.
An article in the Barking and Dagenham Post noted that the producer is looking for members of the public who have had trouble with the matter to take part.
It noted that around 70 per cent of people die without having made a valid will and is seeking to turn the spotlight on the problems and complications this can lead to.
Those who wish to make arrangements for their estate after they die may wish to speak to a lawyer skilled in will drafting to ensure they and those who survive them have no such problems.
Earlier this week, midlands-based lawyer Fiona Barnes wrote in the Birmingham Post that one problem is that there are some unqualified operators at large who write wills for low fees but produce inadequate documents that fail to deal with the most important issues.
