Andrew was a Founder member of Resolution,
Member of the Law Society Family Law Panel
Resolution trained Collaborative Lawyer
Member of the Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
He sits as a Deputy District Judge at the Central Family Court (formerly the Principal Registry of the Family Division).
Andrew sees his role as helping his clients 'put their lives back together' and to be able to move on with the financial and other support that they need.
Andrew has a particular interest in Dispute Resolution (formerly known as Alternative Dispute Resolution) and the use of Mediation or Collaborative Practice to help clients to resolve their disputes by agreement. He sees this as a far better way for a family to manage the breakdown of a relationship and, where there are children, to enable a constructive future working relationship to be forged.
If Dispute Resolution does not work, then he is able to use his long and varied experience to guide his client through the family litigation process to protect their interests and arrive at a solution that may be ordered by a judge or negotiated.
