Alan was admitted as a solicitor in 1981. He was a partner at Edward Mackie & Co and joined William Sturges as a partner in 1990 upon the merger of the two firms.

Alan works in the firm's private client department. He also does residential property work.

He has specialised in residential property and probate and wills throughout his career.

Alan is a keen amateur actor and has been a member of the Pinner and Hatch End Operatic Society.
