Brian was admitted as a solicitor in 2005. He had previously spent 10 years in the public service at the Official Solicitor's Office, for part of which he was acting Head of the Estates Division. Brian moved to private practice in 2001 and to the private client department of a well-known London law firm before joining William Sturges in 2003. 

He works in the firm's private client department.

Brian's work includes preparing wills, advising on trust matters, tax-planning, Court of Protection work, such as receiverships and lasting powers of attorney, and probate matters, including administering estates, dealing with inheritance tax and post-death tax-planning measures.
