Fiona was admitted as a solicitor in 1992 and joined William Sturges & Co in the New Year of 1997 having previously practiced at Nabarro Nathanson and Taylor Joynson Garrett, becoming a partner later that year and is head of the private client department.
Fiona has specialised in tax, trusts, wills, probate and court of protection work for over fifteen years and she is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practioners. Fiona's experience includes:
- inheritance and capital gains tax mitigation through lifetime measures, arrangements established by will and through post-death measures undertaken during administration of estates;
- applications to the Court of Protection relating to attorneyship, receivership, statutary dispositions and asset protection;
- will drafting and probate;
- drafting and advising on trusts to provide protection for the vulnerable and to accommodate conflicting interests of family members and;
- acting as trustee and as executor for family trust and estates large and small.
Fiona acts for clients from a wide range of backgrounds including directors of major companies prominent City figures, lawyers from other legal firms, accountants and a wide range of public figures.
