Grant was admitted as a solicitor in 1966. He has been in private practice in the City and West London for many years. He joined William Sturges as a Partner in 2005.

Grant works in the firm's company commercial department to which he brings his considerable experience. He also does employment law.

Grant is an independent adjudicator and cost assessor for the Legal Services Commission. He is a past Chairman of The Queens Club.
