Hazel was admitted as a solicitor in 1995 and joined William Sturges as a Partner in November 2008 having previously worked at practices in the West End and the City.

Hazel specialises in advising clients on estate and succession planning, residence and domicile issues and taxation. She also advises the owners of small family businesses on the difficult issue of passing the business to the next generation and how to optimise the tax position in such cases.

She acts as trustee, attorney and receiver for various clients and their families and has a practical approach and an unfussy style.

Hazel is a member of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners and the Association of Taxation Technicians.   She has spoken at client seminars, written various articles and contributed to the Royal Society of Medicine's handbook on planning for retirement.
