Joanne was admitted as a solicitor in 1992 and throughout her career was dealt with contentious matters.

She has worked for a national firm of solicitors in addition to a number of smaller firms prior to her joining William Sturges in 2004.

Her experience is extensive and includes:-

• -Property litigation acting for both landlords and tenants in commercial / residential disputes.
• -Applications to the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal (LVT) on the reasonableness of service charges demanded and requesting determinations by the LVT on whether there has been a breach of covenant.
• Claims for possession of property and resulting orders for sale.
• Inheritance Act claims including challenges to a will claiming lack of testamentary capacity and undue influence.
• Minority shareholder actions.
• Claims against Trustees.
• Partnership disputes.
• Breach of contract claims.

Joanne also deals with some employment claims and has acted for both employers and employees in claims for unfair dismissal,
