John was admitted as a solicitor in 1967, starting his professional career as an in-house lawyer of a large commercial company. He then co-founded the niche commercial firm of Levinson Gray in Westminster in 1973. John joined William Sturges as a partner on the merger of the two firms in 2006.
John works in the firm's company commercial department.
John acts for a wide range of clients in various industries including telecommunications, hotels, wine and retailing generally.
John has a special interest in European law and in 1991 he founded The Association of Independent European Lawyers (AIEL) which he has administered ever since.
