Mary was admitted as a solicitor in 1976 and practised at Linklaters and Clifford Chance before joining William Sturges specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions. She was also in-house Legal Advisor for Fisons Plc, looking after the company’s agrochemical, pharmaceutical and scientific equipment divisions.
 
Mary is a Company and Commercial lawyer advising clients of all sizes ranging from sole traders, partnerships to privately owned or publicly listed companies and on all business and company and commercial transactions. Mary has advised on mergers and acquisitions transactions and on management buyouts and joint venture transactions. She has experience of security and loan documentation. Mary is also experienced in Industrial and Provident Society law and was a Consultant Advisor to the Last Great Western Railway Housing Association dealing with its winding up and distribution of assets. She has advised numerous charities on their constitutions and structures. She has also assisted various clubs and societies with rule changes and advised on operational problems. 
 
Mary lived and worked in Paris for four years and is a fluent French speaker. As a result she is able to assist English clients with prospective property investment in France as well as French clients with their investment's and their businesses in the United Kingdom.
