Michael was admitted as a solicitor in 1978 and practiced as an assistant solicitor at Chethams and Brechers before returning to Chethams as a partner in 1986. Michael became a partner at William Sturges & Co in July 2000 upon the merger of the two firms.

Throughout his career Michael has specialised in Commercial Property and associated company and commercial work including sales and acquisitions.

• International work; including negotiations in the Middle East of  international agreements
• Shareholders` dispute in a company with international assets in which Michael co-ordinated lawyers in different countries to obtain off shore injunction.

Michael's clients in the main comprise property companies, retailers, wealthy individuals and charities.
