Michael was admitted as a solicitor in 1978 and practiced as an assistant solicitor at Chethams and Brechers before returning to Chethams as a partner in 1986. Michael became a partner at William Sturges in July 2000 upon the merger of the two firms.

Throughout his career Michael has specialised in Commercial Property and associated company and commercial work including sales and acquisitions.

• International work; including negotiations in the Middle East of  international agreements
• Shareholders` dispute in a company with international assets in which Michael co-ordinated lawyers in different countries to obtain off shore injunction.
