Richard was admitted as a solicitor in 1982. Richard joined William Sturges in 1995 and became a partner in 1997. 

RIchard works in the firm's litigation department. Richard has experience of virtually all types of commercial litigation and specialises in contractual disputes, professional negligence, personal injury and contentious probate claims. 

While Richard also acts for businesses, he mainly acts for private individuals and prides himself on client contact and his ability to secure the outcome his clients want in the most effective way.

Richard has represented clients at arbitrations, mediations, conciliations and most other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
