Graeme leads family law at William Sturges, bringing over 25 years of specialised experience and legal advice. His expertise encompasses complex financial settlements on divorce, children issues, cohabitation claims, nuptial and cohabitation agreements, European Family law and multi-ethnic law, with particular focus on cases involving substantial wealth and complex assets.

As a prominent voice in family law and cohabitation reform, Graeme has established himself as a leading authority on cohabitation rights in England and Wales. His influence extends beyond his practice through media commentary for the BBC, SKY, FT, and The Times, alongside his pivotal role as Chair of Resolution’s Cohabitation Committee. His commitment to advancing family law is demonstrated through his extensive committee work, including membership of the Family Procedure Rule Committee (FPRC) and Resolution’s Family Law Reform Group.

His excellence in the field has been recognised through multiple prestigious awards, including the 2023 Members Choice Award at the Resolution Annual Awards, the 2023 Family Law Community Interaction Award and the 2018 Family Law Commentator of the Year, both at the Lexis Nexis Family Law Awards. Another notable achievement includes his contribution to “Modern Families,” a PSHE Quality Mark-awarded educational resource, and his evidence presentation to the Women and Equalities Select Committee in Parliament on The Rights Of Cohabiting Partners.
